Israel Ramos is the founder and former president of GYC and the Director of the Center for Adventist Ministry to Public University Students near Michigan State University. He holds degrees in Education and Religion and is currently pursuing a degree in Pastoral Ministry at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Ramos is a leader in Public Campus Ministry for the Seventh-day Adventist Church serving as a member of the Association of Religious Counselors at the University of Michigan, and a missionary, pastor, and chaplain on various public college campuses.
